Now, that’s a snake of a different color! Since the Colt Python was re-released in 2020 , the manufacturer has worked to meet customer demand for the iconic six-round .357 Magnum revolver. That included offering a variety of barrel lengths from the shortened 3-inch model , the standard 4.25-inch gun, and 6-inch “Rick Grimes” special. No matter the barrel length, though, all of the new Colt Pythons shared the same aesthetic of stainless steel and walnut grips.

Available in the 4.25- or 6-inch configurations, the new Pythons are built from forged carbon steel that wears a polished blue finish. The lone exception being the topstrap, which will be matte blued to reduce glare between the sights. The guns will come with walnut target-style stocks with the Colt medallion.

The fluted cylinders offer six-round capacity. Features from the 2020 refresh include: More steel in the topstrap for a stronger frame; adjustable target rear sight; user-interchangeable front sight (red ramp sight included); and a recessed target crown barrel with full-length vent rib.
